Qu’est-ce qui s’est passé?!?!

I’ll tell you what didn’t happen.  I didn’t abandon you blog.  You complete me, like only virtual pleasures can.

Basically the last few months have been a hectic chaotic blurr of a mess…. what with trying to find a new apartment, then deciding to stay where I was.  Then trying to find a roommate and then having a friend essentially pick one for me.  Its really tough being lazy sometimes.

There have been some highlights though… I will admit.  For one, I went to the Pitchfork music festival at Union Park here in Chicago and had my world totally rocked.  I saw acts like the New Pornographers, Cat Powers, The G’ZA, De la Soul and many more.  The most noteable being the infamous Yoko Ono, who is about 74, and insane. 

I also did manage to make it to Lollapalooza this year, and had my face melted with all the awesome music.  Ben Harper, possibly the most gorgeous man ever, rocked my world.  His set also featured a special appearance by Eddie Vedder in which they both played acoustic and sang. It was delightful.  Vedder also came out and played with The Kings of Leon (who quite possibly wear the tightest jeans humanly possible).  The highlight there was when Vedder, with no other instrument to play on stage, rocked out on 2 tambourines, so hard in fact that they were left in pieces by the end of the song.  The old PJ were pretty good too, playing all the classics, but also incorporating some new stuff, like a song debasing BP ameco and their pollutin’ ways.  Ah.. vedder.. you sure know how to get a crowd to pump their fists in unison.
