The Devil is a Size 12
Today I am in Munich and just walked in the devils footsteps. We visited Frauenkirche, where it is said the devil made a deal with the architect to help build the church if he could promise there would be no light inside. He entered the finished building and upon descovering that there was indeed light, he stomped his foot down and left his mark right on the church floor. Today that footprint is still there right in the foyer of the church.
Yesterday I had the opportunity to go to Mauthausen Concentration Camp in Austria. That makes it the second one I have been to in my travels, but nonetheless a unique experience. I find that when I walk through I am expecting to find buildings and monuments that are old and decrepit, much like all the other sites i have seen on this trip, and I am shocked to find that these places aren’t old looking at all. Yet another testimony to how recent these events really were.

Who throws a baby… honestly
Apparently it is customary for gypsies in Albania to throw their babies at you in attempt to pillage your pockets. And not even their own babies…. but rather stolen babies.

Greecey Italians
Note to self: never tell greeks or italians that you like the dirty french and that Zisou is your favourite. They will shake their greasy heads, cover you in gel, flex their hairy chests, give you the evil eye, and force you to eat lamb covered in tubs of lard. Subsequently you will twirl your curly mustache at them and poo poo their attempts to intimidate… then crap your pants.

Canadians… jebus.
Apparently the unspoken plan for all Canadian youth is to take over the world. And what better place to observe such malicious intentions than in Berlin. The Canadians were out in full force last night for Canada day. There were flags, pins, t-shirts, and dirty french all around us. We broke out into O Canada in multiple languages, got really loud and stupid… you would have thought we were Americans.
p.s. Glory to the dirty french for a triumphant win last night! You are so dirty!

Berlin – World Cup Rash
Yesterday, I found myself in Berlin, in the middle of the biggest street party, surrounded by thousands of germans, watching the quarter final game between Germany and Argentina. On one side a girl was puking on her jeans, on the other 6 shirtless guys were jumping on each other, and on another side some lady was snorting coke with a 50 euro bill. I thought to myself, “damn woman, don’t you know that’s like 70 Canadian dollars. shit”
